ALL Shooting Eagles Sweep the 2025 Championship.

The competition in the Arena Lacrosse League (ALL) was unmatched this season, with a strong WLA presence throughout all four teams.

This win for the Shooting Eagles is one for the history books, as they are the 1st team in the ALL West to secure a 2nd Overall ALL Championship.

There were many familiar WLA faces repping the ALL gear with representation from the Nanaimo Timbermen, Burnaby Lakers, Coquitlam Adanacs, New West Salmonbellies, Langley Thunder, and most notably, Maple Ridge Burrards.

“Playing against the blue helmets is unreal because we can go out at it like it’s war, but then we send each other a text or see each other in the parking lot and it’s still like we’re family” says #12 Garret Winter from the Shooting Eagles and WLA Maple Ridge Burrards, when asked what it’s like to play against your own summer ball teammates.

Winter racked up 4 points this game with 2 goals and 2 assists. His valuable efforts against his former teammates allowed him to secure the 3rd star spot in today’s game.

“They’re the guys that I can compete the hardest with” says Winter. Now shifting his focus from ALL to WLA, Winter says that “the locker room” and “being back with the boys” is what he’s looking forward to the most for the 2025 season.

“We’re the tightest knit group in the WLA…we compete harder than anyone, and we’re ready to put in some work this year,” says Winter.

You can see all of your favourite players, including Garret Winter, back in their WLA jersey’s throughout this summer, for another great season of summer lacrosse.
